This past weekend the Varsity and Junior Varsity Dance Teams attended the Brooke Point Invitational Competition. The teams competed against dance teams from across Stafford and Northern Virginia. The Varsity Dance Team took home TWO 1st Place Trophies for their Pom and Jazz Routines. They also received the “Highest Overall Score” Trophy for their Pom Routine. Saturday December 13th, Mountain View Wrestling Team took 1st place at the Washington And Lee Tournament. Champions for the Wildcats were Eli Harig (112), Kevin Maenz (119), Nick Farris (140), Nate McGraw (152), Conor Black (171), Cody LaBass (189), Nick Perelli (215), and Seth Newsome (Hgt).   Placing 2nd were Blaine Enberg (112), Allen Baker (125), Michael Reeser (130), Kenny Bellamy (152), Paul Harrison (166), and Christian Banghart (189). Conor Black was voted the tournaments Outstanding Wrestler.

The Mountain View Wrestling team won 9 team matches this Friday and Saturday in
Maryland. Senior Conor Black won Most Outstanding Wrestler (MVP) for the tournament, fellow seniors Cody Labass, Nick Perelli, and Seth Newsome along with Conor Black won all nine of their matches. To wit, this was the best team tournament performance for MVHS wrestling to date. Senior Kevin Maenz pinned his way to 8 wins, and his only loss was to a top three state placer from Maryland. The team decisively beat all other teams by large margins. The tropy is on display in the front office. Congratulations!
